A nasty brute un-earthed and ate large parts of the gerbera daisies I planted in the rock garden out back. I’m suspecting a giant rabbity thing. Squirrels don’t eat gerberas, do they? I’ve heard they like daffodil and tulip bulbs, but not gerberas, and heavens, why dig them up? Couldn’t we just eat the tops down? Whatever It is, It did a bit of collateral damage, digging up the newly planted sedum, too. We are not pleased.
I have a finished object (finally) to show. The pink shawl is finished, and photographed. I started it the day after John was admitted to the hospital – must have been February 18th, then. It is made of a recycled sweater knit of Lopi yarn – a somewhat scratchy wool singles that was popular for knitting Scandinavian-inspired ski sweaters 15 to 20 years ago. It will be a nice warm shawl for when I move to Colorado, eh?
